Exonia started the packaging production activity in Romania in 2005 with extrusion, printing and manufacture of polyethylene films, shopper bags and multilayer films for packaging food and industrial products. From 2020, following an investment of 3.65 million € we have modernized our production capacity of BIOdegradable paper shopping bags, especially for the food and pharma industry, for distributors and for end customers with higher consumption (Procter & Gamble, eMag, Sandoz, etc).
We produce custom packaging: shopping bags with handles, paper bags for food packaging, two-or more-layer sacks for animal feed, charcoal, chemicals, plasticized wrapping paper, for manual or automatic packaging, and more.
Differentiating element is the quality of our packaging, with additional resistance elements, customized up to 10 colors, but in a very special way manual quality control for each manufactured product, which guarantees 100% quality.
The raw materials we use in production are also of the highest quality, manufactured by well-known manufacturers: Billerudkorsnas Sweden, Horizon Estonia, with unique durability, greaseproof resistance or other key characteristics. The production capacity in our new factory is 3.000 tons per year, which means more than 150 million pieces annual. In the next two years we intend to increase the production capacity to 10.000 tons per year, a project for which we have allocated a budget of 9,5 million €.

The evolution of EXONIA started as a local business and became one of the leaders of the BIOdegradable packaging manufacturing industry in Romania.
EXONIA Packaging Factory is owned by Exonia Holding SRL with fully private Romanian capital.

Nadia Stoian
As EXONIA's Operational Manager and an economist herself, Nadia brings over 17 years of experience in coordinating key account relations and supervising logistics departments. Laurențiu Budescu
With a passion for numbers and over 27 years of experience in the capital market, Laurențiu serves as EXONIA's Financial Manager.
